Billing
We strive for affordability
We know cost is a major factor for genetic testing. That is why our goal is to make genetic testing affordable and accessible to everyone with a medical need by offering multiple billing options.
Our billing options
We offer multiple ways for your patients or institution to pay for testing. If you have questions about any of the options below, please Contact Us directly for more information.
Commercial Insurance
Insurance billing is available for our Genomic Unity® and IriSight™ tests. Our Clinical Coordination team performs a benefits investigation on every order and contacts the patient if their out-of-pocket responsibility is determined to be $100 or more.
Medicare
While many of our tests are currently not billable under Medicare, we do our best to work with Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicare plans. If your patients are enrolled in Medicare Part B, please contact our Customer Service team regarding our pricing details.
Institutional Billing
Institutional billing is available for organizations that manage insurance and patient billing directly. Contact your Clinical Sales Specialist to discuss this option.
Medicaid
We work with Medicaid and are contracted with Medicaid providers in over 35 states nationwide.
Self-pay
Variantyx can directly bill for testing and set up payment plans. Please contact our Customer Service team for details regarding pricing for our products.
Accepted Payment Methods

Financial assistance, too
For patients with commercial insurance, we offer financial assistance through our Patient Assistance Program to help with out-of-pocket costs when certain criteria are met. For those who qualify, out-of-pocket expenses are calculated on a sliding scale based on household size and adjusted annual income relative to Federal Poverty Guidelines. Our Patient Assistance Program form can be completed and submitted to be considered for the program.
